Russian AI agent targets 90% of routine office work

MOSCOW, Russia / Eurasian Newswire / – A new Russian AI agent could take over up to 90% of repetitive office tasks involving data, according to its developer MWS AI. The company has released MWS AI Cowork, a universal agent with a chat interface for internal business work. MWS AI belongs to MTS Web Services, part of telecoms operator MTS. The agent plans and completes tasks independently in a single window.

According to the company, the agent finds and analyses information and works with files, websites and connected apps. It can create documents, tables, presentations and reports. A company links the system once to its email, calendar, messengers, storage and CRM platforms. Each employee then logs in with a corporate account, and the agent acts only within that user’s permissions. The launch was announced on October 27.

MWS AI said its product differs from Claude Cowork and ChatGPT Work by meeting Russian requirements on corporate data security. It can be installed within a closed organisational environment in Russia. Deployment in a closed environment keeps corporate data inside the organisation. The service also offers flexibility in AI infrastructure, supporting MWS AI’s Cotype models as well as models from Sber, Yandex and open-source foreign developers. The trend follows wider growth in AI agents worldwide.

Skills let teams reuse proven methods

Employees can build their own skills, or sets of instructions that the agent follows for routine jobs. These can be shared, allowing staff to reuse successful approaches and work to common standards. Built-in skills include report preparation, supplier price comparisons, document checks and meeting minutes drawn from transcripts. Users can also view and delete the preferences and context that the agent remembers. A monthly report skill can define data sources and output formats.

Denis Filippov, CEO of MWS AI, said the service provides a common base for introducing AI across a company’s departments. He said firms can begin with tasks such as preparing reports or comparing supplier quotes. They can then add departments and move on to processes involving several teams. Filippov said what works for one department can be reused by others. He added that management keeps control over costs, data access and tools.

Licence priced at up to 20 million roubles

An annual licence costs from 6 million to 20 million roubles in 2026, depending on the configuration and number of users. In pilot projects at MTS Web Services, an active user who handed 90% of tasks to the agent saved at least one hour a day. The company put the value of that time at about 263,000 roubles per employee each year. It said payback could come within months of launch.

Testing at a company with 1,000 staff showed meeting minutes took 50% to 80% less time to prepare. Writing a one-page business text took 40% to 60% less time, while an initial contract review was about 30% faster. The figures include time spent checking the agent’s output. Preparing a 10-slide presentation took 40% to 50% less time. Russia is also testing AI in other areas, including a nationwide trial of delivery robots.
